So many issues on this 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar
I'm trying to put this new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar into perspective... I feel like there are so many things wrong idealistically with the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. It's only been out to the public for a little over a week but already early reviews of this machine are pretty lackluster. That Touch Bar is not meant for pro users. The battery doesn't last even close to the marketed 10-hour length. The speaker grills are cosmetic (a weird design choice given how purposeful every element of design has been for Apple in the past). It is non-upgradeble in every sense. System Integrity Protection is oddly disabled by default. The computer doesn't know what graphics card it has. And 3-finger-drag is problematic.
In my book, this is so far from a normal release for Apple, even for a first-generation product. Coupled with that insanely high price and the whole dongle situation, I can't really recommend anybody buy this product -- pro or not. Now really is the time to buy an older generation 2015 MacBook Pro for cheap.
