'Cast In India' is a documentary about how NYC Sewer covers are made

Cast In India is a documentary by Natasha Raheja about the origins of the ubiquitous NYC SEWER manhole covers. Any New Yorker who has taken a few seconds to look at these sewer covers will know that emblazoned on their tops in giant block letters is "MADE IN INDIA". But have you ever wondered what that statement really means? If the documentary trailer is any indication, it means poor working conditions, very dirty air, and a whole lot of bare feet next to scalding hot liquid fire.

If you're interested in the movie, you can purchase it for $20 (I wish the film was on Vimeo On Demand).
