Google and MIT researchers have developed software algorithm to remove reflections and objects from a scene automatically

I'm not that excited about the reflection-removing algorithm here. I'm more excited about the ability for the camera to remove in-the-way objects (like a chainlink fence) from the foreground of the image. It does seem like you have to mostly take still images from motion capture (which is a bummer) but it's a start to hopefully something really amazing down the road for consumers and consumer cameras.
