A conversation with Sasha Lane, the breakout star of "American Honey"

I haven't had much free time lately but I'm hoping to make use of some downtime in the near future to catch American Honey in theaters before it's run is over. The movie is the story of a young woman played by Sasha Lane who joins a band of misfits traveling across the midwest. Raw, dramatic, and oddly relatable (though I've never joined a band of misfits and caused ruckus quite like this). I think it's the spirit of the movie that I'm drawn to -- free spirits with the balls to just do whatever the hell they want. I hear it's good. Have you seen it?

Here's VICE's quick chat with Sasha Lane and how she was cast for this breakout role.
