A few days of traffic, an entirely different feel
The last time I went to LA, I was really stressed. Stressed about a lot of things and stressed about that traffic. What a difference a few months makes. I always enjoy going to LA because it does, still, feel like a second home to me. It's the city I know 2nd best probably and one that I visit more often than any other city in the US.
But the traffic. Oh, that traffic. In the past, I've had a really hateful relationship with the traffic here. I just don't understand the way people drive in LA and why the traffic gets backed up the way it does at all hours of the day. But this most recent time, I loved the traffic. In fact, I wished there was more! The reason for this I think is because I had something to look at this time around. The graffiti on the roadside really captivated me like it does here in NYC and for probably the first time, I really wanted to know the ins and outs of the off-ramps in LA to see just how some graffiti spots were taken over. The only way from the freeway to do that of course was to be in slow-moving traffic.
Maybe this is a trick to help me just enjoy the city a little more than I already do. I can't wait to go back.
