Back where it all started: #tvonthestreet

Look at this #tvonthestreet. For the last 3 years, I've basically owned this hashtag (owned in the sense that I contributed most to it) and it was not entirely surprising I guess that during my most recent trip back to LA I would see another TV On The Street specimen (seen above). LA was where I started photographing TVs on the street back sometime in 2012-2013. If I go back in my photo collection, I could probably find the exact television that started it all -- a beat up set underneath an overpass somewhere near Silver Lake. I came across it while exploring LA on a bike and seeing this massive TV on the street above made me go back to that simpler time. If I don't count LA, I think the only other place I've seen this many TVs is in Philadelphia. Maybe TVs on the street signify something greater than I have yet to understand in my life. I'm sure I'll figure it out one day.
