80 Blocks From Tiffany's

I finally watched Gary Weis' movie 80 Blocks From Tiffany's on the plane to San Francisco this morning. This film has been on my to-watch list for years and I am shocked at how long it's taken me to get around to seeing it. I liked it a lot.

The movie is a real life look at South Bronx gangs in the late '70s and how they interact with each other and live with the constant harassment of NYPD. If you want to relive the sweaty, sweaty, sweaty days of NYC ghettos, this is the documentary that will surely bring you back to the block. I wonder where most of these people are today...
