The Sony RX100 V is the compact digital camera I want
This is the newly announced Sony RX100 V. It has a 24-70mm equivalent lens on a 20MP sensor and 315 phase-detection AF points, crowning it the world's fastest autofocus camera. And it can shoot RAW images at 24fps for up to 6 seconds at a time. THAT IS JUST WOW!!! No worries about image quality either as Sony has really been setting the bar lately in every image sensor category (the Mark IV already had an impressive image quality to match and this Mark V beats it in every way). If you own the Mark IV, there might not be a huge incentive to upgrade, but if you are like me and are looking for a new compact digital with all the bells and whistles, this is the one. I want!
PS: It has an underwater housing that will go on sale for $350 MSRP.
