The Lams of Ludlow Street by Thomas Holton
Stop what you're doing and look at photographer Thomas Holton's images of a single family living in Chinatown, NYC over the course of about 13 years. The images show a cramped but home-y living space filled with usable space from top to bottom. Clothes and lights hang amidst chairs, tables, computers, homework, and beds in a space that most would consider unlivable for 1 -- and yet the Lam family had 5.
The images are now part of a book that Holton is releasing called The Lams of Ludlow Street which is available now for $50.
