Ali Wong: Baby Cobra (Netflix Comedy Special)
I just finished watching the Netflix Comedy Special featuring comedian Ali Wong. I'll admit I was a bit hesitant to watch this mainly because I find Asian comedians very predictable and not all that funny usually. I think a lot of it usually comes down to Asian comedians generally doing traditional "white" stand-up talkng about white-people problems. Nothing wrong with that at the end of the day, but I could easily just watch a million other white comedians talking about that if I really wanted to listen to that.
Ali Wong's standup here was really fantastic. Funny, obscene, and unexpected. I totally saw how her writing went into the Fresh Off The Boat mom after watching this standup.
