The Office TV show and the theory of mind

I really wish I had a way with words the same Nerdwriter does. He very accurately explains the appeal of shows like The Office (both the American and British versions) and how the "theory of the mind" comes into play heavily in the show. You may not know the term, but you know the feeling (I'll use the American Office as examples here). It's when Jim looks at the camera, or when Michael snorts and chuckles to himself after a bad joke, or when Pam stares across the office to Jim when he isn't looking her way. We watch those events unfold and feel like we know what they're thinking and feeling. And often, we are correct. And that's all done without a single word.
