The Hills at Governor's Island

Look at this beautiful place! The Hills at Governor's Island, the latest piece of the island to be revitalized, is now officially opened to the public! The Hills are actually the collective name of 4 separate hills all with unique characteristics and stories. The highlights of this new portion of Governor's Island are "Slide Hill" which holds NYC's longest slide (adults allowed!) and the Overlook hill which places viewers 70 feet above sea level for an amazing view of New Jersey and Manhattan.
For me, this new section of Governor's Island really positions itself right up there along with another one of my favorite parks, Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island. If you've got the time, take the very affordable Governor's Island Ferry to Governor's Island and experience this for yourself!
