The NYCTA Project

It's been a while since I've last checked in on Brian Kelley's amazing digital museum known as The NYCTA Project. For those of us who live and breath NYC by way of the NYC Subway, this website is a wonderful time travel machine to some amazing design details that just don't quite cut it in the system today.

Lots of old artsy MetroCards, amazing patch designs, some wacky ads, and of course, tons of versions of maps of all sorts. It's a treasure trove really that I wish Brian would put into a book (since most of his uploads are of unusually high quality and detail). If you've never seen the site, you should check it out.

PS: Brian, please do the book thing.
