Donald Trump's refugee ban explained

I haven't felt very American lately. Mostly because Trump's administration is constantly doing things that seem so backwards for the country. Closing our borders to refugees and those fleeing other countries due to persecution is something that we should be incredibly ashamed of! I feel like lately I just don't get where the US is going.
