Remember moving sand art pictures?

Occasionally I'll come across an old photo of me in my childhood home, sitting at my desk, doing nothing except staring at the random things I had on my desk. Unlike today where virtually every desk I sit at has a computer, my old childhood desk had none. Just a huge amount of desk space unencumbered by a computer tower or monitor.  Those were some good 'ole days!

Anyway, I always try to recall what I would do on my desk. Homework, of course, but what else? Play with a few model toy cars maybe.

...And then I came across this YouTube video and it all came rushing back to me!

I USED TO PLAY WITH A MOVING SAND SCULPTURE.

I'm not even joking. I bought this sand sculpture at a flea market with my dad back in the day and whenever I had nothing better to do, I would sit at my desk and turn this sand sculpture thing upside down and watch...sand...fall. That's it. And I would do this a lot. Man, what a weird time to be alive.

Who else had one of these things as a kid?
