Inside Airbus' modular plane concept
Well, we know this will never happen. So much of this concept requires people to not be buckled in. Also, can you imagine a 4-stack sleeping configuration? Oh God, I can only think of slave ships and how they transported slaves...
Cockpit view of an Airbus A321 landing in Toronto
This is pretty neat and it's probably the best video I've seen so far of a cockpit view while landing a passenger airplane. In this case, it's the Airbus A321. So many lights both inside and outside.
The economics of flying big planes vs little planes
I really enjoy these Wendover Productions videos about airlines and airplanes. I've always been fascinated about how the airline industry works because mainly as a customer, it all seems kind of random sometimes. But Wendover does a great job of explaining some of the economics here of air travel in relation to the type of aircraft being flown. In the end, he mentions that point to point flights on smaller planes actually makes more business sense for the company and also is more favorable for the consumer. I agree.
I'm writing all of this on the night before I board one of American Airlines' newly refurbished A321 aircrafts. Let's hope it's as good as they say!
