The importance of storytelling in 'Back To The Future'

Back To The Future is one of the best film trilogies of all time. That's a fact. And I've watched a million dissections of this film and each one is always so enjoyable because ultimately the dissections are talking about a good film in every way (whether it's set creation, directing, storytelling, or Easter Egg hunting). Here's yet another one I just came across. This one is about how storytelling, joke setup and punchline, are critical to the way Back To The Future plays out. Without it, BTTF would fail miserably. Thankfully, the jokes and the punchlines are perfect in every way.

Nike HyperAdapt are the modern self-lacing shoe from Back To The Future

This is really cool (and only a few years late from the anniversary of BTTF). But I really can do without the stupid lights. I mean, c'mon. LIGHTS?! What year is this? These lights do not look cool. They look stupid. Put this self-lacing tech into something that doesn't light up and you've got me sold. Also, no charging capabilities based on walking? WHAT A WASTE. This was a half thought out product.
