Brand-new comic by Calvin and Hobbes creator Bill Watterson

I've sort of been saving this link for a while now. But like all Bill Watterson work, this one is timeless even though its purpose was meant for something that occurred nearly a year ago.

Last year, Watterson was the primary honoree of France's Angoulême International Comics Festival and the festival asked him to draw a comic for the festival's poster. Amazingly, Watterson agreed and the strip shown here is the first time Watterson has drawn a comic since his retirement of Calvin & Hobbes in 1995. The comic here is drawn in a very similar style to those silent strips from Calvin & Hobbes with this one showing the peculiar predicament one gentleman encounters when he asks his dog to fetch the paper.

Why did Bill Watterson come out of retirement to make this comic? Well, awards aside I'm sure, he simply mentions that it was an interesting challenge. Genius, even after all this time.
