The many ways you can lay out a map of the globe on a flat surface
This was utterly fascinating to watch. I've always known that globes were not necessarily a good representation of the real likeness of Earth, but I didn't know that there were so many different variations (and names!) of types of maps aiming to all solve the same problem -- how to lay out a sphere on a flat surface. Pretty cool!
