Epson Scan 2 is out...
OMG. I had no idea that Epson Scan 2 has been sitting in my Epson software folder! I’ve been using the stupid stupid stupid Epson Scan for batch processing and didn’t even realize Epson released the much faster version of this software.
UPDATE: It’s very fast.
Scanning film on a flatbed with Negative Lab Pro
Ok, this single video has convinced me that I need to change up my scanning technique. I’m not convinced about the quality of using a macro lens so I’m happy that this process still works with my trusty (and very old!) Epson flatbed scanner.
Negative Lab Pro v2.1
I wonder if I can use this with the BetterScanning anti-Newton Ring (ANR) glass. I’d like to eventually get rid of my Epson scanner but so far have not found an affordable and quality alternative. Kind of crazy since the Epson scanner I’m using is like 10+ years old.
Epson Expression 12000XL photo scanner
Ok, real question: Why is the Epson Expression 12000XL worth nearly $3500?
Epson FastFoto FF-640 high-speed photo scanner
I wasn't really looking for a photo print scanner, but when I saw the insane scanning speed of the Epson FastFoto FF-640, I knew I wanted it. The FF-640 can scan print photos as fast as 1 per second and allows for prints as long as 8.5"x120" (that's longer than most traditional lab prints).
The unit itself is $649 normally, but Amazon currently has this machine at $549.99.
Here are a few videos of the Epson FF-640 in action. Watch it go!
And yes, the scanner can scan documents as well.
