MTA suspends Grand Central Terminal tours after tour guide is caught giving off-hour tours
Dan Brucker, the man who used to give tours of off-limit areas of Grand Central Terminal, has been terminated from his job after he was found to be giving unofficial tours on his time off. :(
Anyway, the video above is from a larger series of videos that Gothamist published. The story above is almost certainly embellished and untrue in every way.
Look! It's an Amtrak train at Grand Central Terminal!
Last week, a minor train derailment at Penn Station caused some Amtrak trains to be re-routed to Grand Central Terminal. A rare sight! :D :D :D
Grand Central's Pershing Square Plaza overpass is now lit up
I took this photo last night.
Actual video from inside FDR's abandoned train car underneath Grand Central Terminal
Wow. Normally when I read or watch anything concerning FDR's abandoned train car underneath Grand Central Terminal, it's all the same thing -- talking about the history of it, why it was built (partially to mask his polio from the public), why it was connected to the Waldorf Astoria, and often accompanied by lots of photos of the train car exterior. BUT NEVER INSIDE THE TRAIN CAR.
This is where BuzzFeed's video ends up being kind of unique. They got permission to go inside the train car and shared the footage with us in the video above.
