Nike's self-lacing HyperAdapt 1.0 sneakers will retail for $720
When Nike finally announced a true self-lacing shoe for the mass market earlier this year, they did so without saying how much it would be. Some assumed it would be on the premium end, putting itself up there with the best of Nike's offerings. Well, they were sort of right. They certainly are on the premium end. But how much exactly? Well, let's say $720.
Yeah.
You read that correctly. Nike's HyperAdapt 1.0 (THE FIRST VERSION, MIND YOU) will retail in 3 variations for $720 each.
Nike HyperAdapt are the modern self-lacing shoe from Back To The Future
This is really cool (and only a few years late from the anniversary of BTTF). But I really can do without the stupid lights. I mean, c'mon. LIGHTS?! What year is this? These lights do not look cool. They look stupid. Put this self-lacing tech into something that doesn't light up and you've got me sold. Also, no charging capabilities based on walking? WHAT A WASTE. This was a half thought out product.
