Here's a much better NYC MTA Subway map made by Jake Berman
I was randomly reading this Wikipedia article the other day about the NYC Subway and one particular thing caught my eye. I noticed that the illustration for the NYC Subway map that the Wikipedia article used wasn't the actual official NYC Subway map.
And while the map shown here isn't official, I much prefer this version over the MTA one. The map here is made by Jake Berman and he seems to do a very good job of keeping this Massimo Vignelli-inspired map up to date via Wikipedia. Pretty cool. I think I'll start forwarding this link to people instead of the MTA PDF.
