Create your own DJI Beacon with these affordable STROBON Cree LED strobe lights
You may have seen the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise lighting beacon and wondered how you can get that same sort of lighting beacon without buying an entirely new drone. If you already own a drone, you can get these STROBON Cree LED strobe lights for dirt cheap and attach them to your drone with these mounts.
From what I can tell, these lights are nearly as bright as the official DJI Beacon and can be seen from nearly 3 miles away. If you’re concerned about weight, each of these mounts PLUS the Cree LED weighs an additional 5 grams (not a whole lot even if you use 4). And from various videos shown online, it doesn’t seem to affect any video recording at all once the drone is in the air.
Here are a couple of videos of the lights in action on various drones.
Lexus covered one of their cars in 41,999 LED lights
This is neat, huh? Lexus unveiled the LIT IS car with this interactive LED light display. The car is seen here covered in 41,999 programmed LED lights. Check out some videos below.
LaMetric custom LED clock
This LaMetric LED clock is still a bit expensive for my taste, but I'm really hoping that in a few months time that these LED clocks not only start coming out in more variations but also start falling in price. I've been looking for a basic time and data display for my room and something like this is perfect. Great size, nice clear display, and fully customizable. I just can't do the $200.
BenQ e-Reading LED desk lamp
Wow, check out this beautiful LED desk lamp from BenQ. It's expensive at $249, but not quite as expensive as other well-designed lamps from more respected design firms. The BenQ LED lamp has all the usual features of an LED lamp -- adjustable lighting temperature and touch controls, but it also packs an ambient light sensor to adjust for brightness automatically.
