The $700 Mac Pro Wheels: Explained!
This is a very clear explanation of why these $699 Apple Mac Pro wheels exist. It’s not for you and me. It’s not even for most people. It’s to uphold an image of luxury which, in many cases, is worth more than all the hate you can throw at a company.
This is the best Mac Pro review video
This is the best Mac Pro review I’ve seen so far online.
Instead of concentrating solely on specs (which obviously many have done so far), The Verge just went in-house and got a bunch of actual working professionals to use the computer in a daily work environment and setting. No surprise that most of these folks said the Mac Pro didn’t feel any faster than their 2019 iMacs. Also not a surprise that we’re still waiting for major software developers (Adobe!) to actually revamp their software to use a computer like this. For now, as I’ve said since the release of this computer, the Mac Pro is not for most.
Using the new Mac Pro for photogrammetry
This is an interesting review of the Mac Pro by putting it through an image building process known as photogrammetry while editing a massive HDR video project. Unsurprisingly, the new Mac Pro handles both tasks near flawlessly and even builds the photogrammetry in record time (about 20 hours compared to the usual 2-3 days).
