Looks like all that waiting I did from 2015 has paid off! This 2019 16” is everything I would have expected the 2015 model to be replaced by! FINALLY!

You know what’s crazy? The fact that this brand new 16-inch MacBook Pro is still being compared to the 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro (arguably the last best laptop Apple made). I totally agree. And I also very much agree that this new 16” laptop is a welcome addition to the lineup. I’ve been holding out, and now I can buy.

Restoring a 2007 MacBook Pro
For the nerds out there, this is a pretty comprehensive video on how one guy fully refurbished a 2007 MacBook Pro. Amazingly, I have this exact model MBP and except for being able to run the latest version of macOS, it runs super smoothly and quickly! I miss when Apple laptops were user-upgradeable like this. I got so many more extended years of use out of this laptop. If I were to pull this out today, it would run just as good for basic tasks. And to think that it’s over 10 years old!
