Mercedes-Benz made a windshield washer fluid dispenser that doesn't obstruct vision
Mercedes calls this the Magic Vision Control system. It basically replaces the conventional windshield washer fluid spout normally located on the hood of a car and places it directly onto the windshield wiper itself. The wiper then dispenses washing liquid directly in front of the blade as it sweeps so that you aren't losing vision when trying to wash your windows and drive.
How Mercedes-Benz preps a vehicle for a crash test
This is one of those long and oddly quiet videos that show the slow progress of many things coming together for one exact moment in time. For this case, it's the moment of impact on a Mercedes E-Class. It still amazes me whenever I watch these crash test videos of how quickly those airbags inflate once it detects a crash event.
Mercedes-Benz Will Unveil A Pickup Truck Soon
Is the world ready for a Mercedes-Benz pickup truck? Well, it better be because in just a few days in Stockholm the luxury car company is set to unveil a luxury workhorse in the shape of a pickup truck. I guess this isn't too surprising since Mercedes-Benz already makes a great deal of big trucks. Adding a pickup to the normal line-up would seem like common sense.
Rare Yellow Taxi Cabs of New York City: Mercedes-Benz E-class Bluetec
The taxi cab vehicle landscape in NYC is changing quickly these days, so I wanted to take some time out and feature some of the rarest forms of the taxi cab in recent history. While many New Yorkers and tourists know the yellow cab as a Ford Crown Victoria, Toyota Prius, or the Nissan NV200, a select number of vehicles in the TLC fleet are in fact unique cars. There are a few reasons why these exist. It could be related to money paid for the medallion, it could be the fuel-efficiency of the car, or it could be the fact that the car is unique because it is a diesel engine (rare among taxi cabs in NYC).
Whatever the reason, it's always fun to spot these less than common vehicles in the wild. For me, it's kind of like a game I guess, and one that gives me the same sort of giddy excitement that I get when I see a rare sportscar zooming down city streets. Maybe it's a car thing or maybe it's a New Yorker thing.
Anyway, here is the NYC yellow cab in one of its rarest forms, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Bluetec.
