Inside Miami’s Luxury Car Hustle: Fake it ‘Til You Make It
This VICE episode got real dark real fast.
The Miami Police Department is vlogging their work days like any other YouTuber
I have to admit that this is a little weird to watch. I am so used to police departments not being transparent like this but the Miami Police Department has a number of videos on their YouTube channel where they literally just vlog their daily work like any other vlogger on YouTube. It makes police work seem so casual which is a bit jarring but also a welcome feeling.
The video above details the day of a K-9 unit.
The video below is about the bomb squad. And there are so many more interesting ones. I kind of wish more police departments did this.
Here's one of the police helicopter.
How the city of Miami Beach is dealing with rising seawater and climate change
Due to global warming, sea level rise over the years around Miami Beach has gotten to the point of no return in some areas. Seawater has been rushing backwards through drains and back onto city streets, flooding streets even when it isn't necessarily raining out. It's a weird phenomenon that the city of Miami Beach is rectifying without much help from Florida state government.
This video shows how the city is doing its part to make sure that even if sea levels continue to rise, that at least water will still be pumped out. The plan here is to set the city up for good for about 30 years while they work on a longterm solution.
