Sabrent Rocket Q M.2 SSDs now available in 4TB and 8TB variations
I have had nothing but great success with these Sabrent M.2 SSDs. I personally use a 2TB one in a custom aluminum enclosure and it consistently delivers super-fast speeds on both read and write. While a bit expensive for now (but not as expensive as 4TB RAID SSDs), you can be sure that now that these are out that the prices will drop significantly very soon. Get them here if you need!
OWC Envoy Express Thunderbolt 3 enclosure
I must have missed this announcement but there seems to finally be a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure on the market after years of this connection being public. The OWC Envoy Express is a Thunderbolt 3 SSD enclosure that uses any 2280 M.2 NVMe SSD for super-fast speeds up and down. Wish I had known about this a few months ago (but was it out then?).
G-Tech 2TB G-Drive Mobile Pro for $699
Uh, this has to be a mistake. So if it is, you better buy fast. The G-Drive Mobile Pro in 2TB variety is just $699.95. This is different than the standard G-Drive Mobile which goes for much cheaper and does not have Thunderbolt 3 transfer speeds (that one only is USB-C).
Buy now before this goes back up to $899.
Sabrent USB 3.2 tool-free NVMe PCIe M Key enclosure for $35
I can personally vouch for this as it is the same item I currently house my 2TB NVMe hard drive in. The Sabrent brand is great and the enclosure is a hefty aluminum so it doesn’t feel cheap (plus it helps cool the SSD inside).
Right now, you can get this enclosure for a total of $35 if you apply the Amazon coupon on the product page (just check the box under the price). If you need a solid SSD to put in here, this is a good one as well.
SanDisk 2TB SSD is now $249.99
I personally use the Sabrent Rocket Pro 2TB SSD but today Amazon is offering a very limited and amazing deal on the SanDisk 2TB SSD. Get it. It’ll save you so much time.
