The owner of Snopes has set up a page to tell readers of Snopes that they are in danger of being shut down if they don't raise $500k to renegotiate the release of the Snopes.com website from an outside vendor.

UPDATE: Looks like Snopes is saved...? They raised more than their $500,000 goal on GoFundMe. Let's hope it's not a scam.
