I tried their previous top pick, the OWC Thunderbolt 2 dock, and I experienced the annoying disconnects they mentioned. I should have just bought this Elgato one instead.

This is a huge price drop for the best Thunderbolt dock on the market. Amazon (and OWC's own website) is now selling the OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock for $219.
EDIT: I bought and returned this item after it continually disconnected my drives that were connected to it after a few hours of use. This sort of usage seemed normal to me and I did not expect the device to crap out like it did. I would be cautious to purchase this for heavy usage.
