Inside Urban Outfitters
Really fascinating article about the birth and renaissance of Urban Outfitters. It was cool, then uncool, and now it's cool again.
Buy those vintage Mary Jane Flats/Kung Fu shoes for cheap
I grew up being around the wholesale import and export business, specifically surrounding Chinese-manufactured goods. Occasionally, I'll find myself completely surprised by the incredible markup that retail stores do on individual items when a whole lot of them can be had for much cheaper. Obviously, I understand that not everybody needs a dozen pairs of shoes all at once, but considering how cheap these are and how quickly they will wear down, maybe buying a dozen won't be so bad -- especially when a dozen of them costs nearly the same as 2 pairs (if you love these, that's 10 pairs for free!).
So if you really like these kung fu shoes (not a new thing, but I can understand how the fashion industry likes to make old things cool again), then maybe you'd like to buy them from our store for $24/dozen. We have them. We have a lot of them.

PS: Where the hell did the name "Mary Jane Flats" come from?
