Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz!
The weekends are sort of my cue to write about whatever the hell I want. So right now, I want to write about this album from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs called It's Blitz!.
What an amazing album. Still. I mean, this album was released in 2009. That was 7 years ago and listening to it in full now gives me the same good feeling I had when I first downloaded this album back in 2009. Karen O has gone on to do a number of different musical projects away from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but to me, this will be the best Yeah Yeah Yeahs album to date. Yes, they released another album sometime in 2013, but that one just didn't reverberate the same way that this one did (or I dunno, maybe I was really turned off by the very terrible album cover artwork for Mosquito).
All of this to say, go and re-listen to this album. Holds up after 5 years. I would imagine it would hold up after 10 years. 15 years. Any increment of 5 years is what I'm saying.
