You can illegally buy a big cat on Instagram (but don't)

Rich people have such weird hobbies. I mean, sure, having a big cat around would be fun, but nothing in me says having a tiger, leopard, cheetah, or a lion in my house would be fun. There's a difference. I just want my regular house cat to be bigger -- but I don't want a giant killing machine roaming around the place freely.

That's precisely the issue at hand here in this VICE episode that shows how easily the right connections and money can get you your own big cat. The obvious problems here are that you're essentially introducing a wild animal into a domesticated setting and expecting it to act accordingly. Sure, it might for a little bit, but once the animal snaps, it's a huge problem for the owner and for the people in the surrounding area.

Not to mention also how this sort of "prized possession" for the rich increases the demand for illegal trapping and hunting of wild animals to be sold on the black market. It's a sad life for the animal and a dangerous one for all those who are involved. This makes me very sad.
