BenQ e-Reading LED desk lamp
Wow, check out this beautiful LED desk lamp from BenQ. It's expensive at $249, but not quite as expensive as other well-designed lamps from more respected design firms. The BenQ LED lamp has all the usual features of an LED lamp -- adjustable lighting temperature and touch controls, but it also packs an ambient light sensor to adjust for brightness automatically.
Dyson CSYS is a desk lamp that moves effortlessly and costs a fortune
I had no idea Dyson made desk lamps. The CSYS is the overall name for what is currently two different lighting systems offered by Dyson. The products are differentiated by their name and purpose -- CSYS Floor for a room lamp and CSYS desk for a desk lamp.
The CSYS is designed by Jake Dyson and is inspired by drafting boards and elevators. The mechanisms in place that allow the light to swing, move, and elevate are quite smooth on video. The 3-axis glide movements are unlike anything I've seen in a desk lamp.
Unfortunately, these desk lamps don't come cheap. Like all Dyson products, there's a high premium to pay for stylish design. In this case, that amounts to paying upwards of $650 for one of these desk lamps.
This Anker Lumos E1 LED Desk Lamp seems pretty cool
Anker has released an even better version of its popular LED desk lamp. This one is called the Lumos E1. It comes with dual USB ports for charging, touch controls for color temperature adjustment, and 6 dimming levels for the perfect room brightness.
It comes in a pretty small package at an affordable price. And knowing Anker, these things will probably go on sale pretty frequently. Check out more info here.
