HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A 16x20 negative?
DAMN!! This video gives us a glimpse of what a 16x20 negative looks like. I’ve never even heard of that size before and I had no idea that they made film at that size. Incredible. So many amazing things in this recap video but that was certainly my favorite.
Standard 4x5 is a 3D printed large format camera
Drew Nikonowicz is behind this 3D printed large format camera called the Standard 4x5 on Kickstarter. For just $320, you can have a fully disassembled Standard 4x5 camera delivered to your door by the end of this year (if all goes as planned). For just a bit more -- $350 -- you can choose to purchase one that is completely assembled.
The cameras are made from a combination of recycled plastics (that they say won't bend) and steel and aluminum pieces.
This looks both amazing and affordable for a 4x5 system. Maybe I might invest...
