Lume Cube STROBE: Anti-Collision Lighting for Drone
Lume Cube has announced a high-powered strobe light for drones that follows all FCC regulations for night time and day time visibility during flight. You can get one for $49.95 or a pack of three for $149.95.
Aputure Amaran MC will come out at the end of summer, $79
This is incredible. These would make amazing urban exploring lights. They’re super bright and last for quite some time.
Create your own DJI Beacon with these affordable STROBON Cree LED strobe lights
You may have seen the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise lighting beacon and wondered how you can get that same sort of lighting beacon without buying an entirely new drone. If you already own a drone, you can get these STROBON Cree LED strobe lights for dirt cheap and attach them to your drone with these mounts.
From what I can tell, these lights are nearly as bright as the official DJI Beacon and can be seen from nearly 3 miles away. If you’re concerned about weight, each of these mounts PLUS the Cree LED weighs an additional 5 grams (not a whole lot even if you use 4). And from various videos shown online, it doesn’t seem to affect any video recording at all once the drone is in the air.
Here are a couple of videos of the lights in action on various drones.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro landing gear lights
Super random but these are cool if you want to use the Mavic 2 Pro for something other than just flying around.
