The Speedvagen Urban Racer
Not currently in the market for a new bike, but I do love this Speedvagen Urban Racer. It's a single-speed bicycle with an aggressive riding stance. And my favorite thing? It comes with a coaster brake. That's something I haven't used in a while. But if I had one, the first thing I'd do is do a side-skid just like in the video below. Those coaster brakes were the best for those fun slides.
OmniLattice on my MSC track bike
I'm so happy to finally be done with work on my MSC track bike. I had run into some problems during a new chain installation and had to buy both a new cog and chainring and since I was getting new stuff I decided to splurge a bit and get something really new. So I opted for this Factory 5 Lattice chainring. It adds a nice unique look to my bike without necessarily sacrificing for quality and functionality.
Central Park ride
Warmer weather is almost here (not counting today since it's going to snow...whhhaaattt!), which means more and more and more biking! Biking to everywhere! Biking to anyplace! No Subway! No snow! Bike ALL DAY.
Here are some recent photos of my bike in Central Park.
The 2016 NYC Bike Map
Get excited! The 2016 NYC bike map is officially out, just in time for the warmer weather. The map highlights all of the official bike lanes in NYC that are either marked green or separated from road traffic. One of the best things about this map is the close-up views of the bike paths across bridges going to all boroughs and even into New Jersey!
There is a lot of information on this map. Kudos to the designers who kept all this data clean and easy to read! Download it here!

Affinity Cycles and Horse Cycles, two amazing Brooklyn bike manufacturers, have teamed up to bring us this new frame called the Anthem. The frame is made from True Temper OX Platinum Steel, welded by Horse Cycles, and comes in two colors -- Bubble gum blue and Metal grey. The frame is then finished off with an amazing paint job by Ben Falcon.
All materials and frame assembly are done right here in Brooklyn, NY. Check it out below.
