Slow Roll Detroit
Mark my words. I will do a Slow Roll Detroit ride one day. Probably soon actually as I intend to make a trip out there -- this time bringing my bike with me so I can explore the city at a slower pace (and also not really have to worry about parking).
This video is a joint production with Kryptonite Locks which now also makes bike accessories like lights. Seriously, this Slow Roll movement looks real fun and it's doing good for the greater Detroit community too!
Back to the Turbo saddle!
I've been wanting to get my Turbo saddle off of my old Kilo frame for a while and I finally remembered to do it this past weekend. Look at that. My bike. All complete now. Some people hate this Turbo saddle, but I like it a lot.
A seismograph for your bicycle ride
Kati Hyyppä created this seismograph to record how bumpy a bike ride was on any particular path. The seismograph is attached to the bicycle itself and records a line onto a roll of paper just like a normal seismograph. Tribeca and Soho cyclists...I feel you.
No Handed Bike Club Patch
Fancy little bicycle patch for those of us who are part of this elite no-handed-riding club. I am a member. :P
How the world's busiest bicycle intersection works
Check out this incredible 3-meter-wide, blue-colored bicycle lane at one of the busiest bicycle intersections in Copenhagen. NYC's cycling population isn't as concentrated as this just yet, but I can one day dream of my own city having something like this.
The Knog Oi bicycle bell
If I remember correctly, the Knog Oi bicycle bell was first funded on Kickstarter, but now it looks like you can buy one direct from Knog. This is definitely one of the prettiest bike bells on the market. Wish Knog had more outlets in the US though so I could pick this up in person and bypass shipping.
