New two-way bike lane at Union Square North

Photos by Herman Yung

NYC DOT has implemented a new traffic measure at Union Square which includes a much-needed two-way bike lane at Union Square North. If you're traveling South, the bike lane brings you along a newly painted green bike path that extends down Broadway to a shared bike/car lane. If you're going North, the bike lane goes from 4th Avenue and then crosses over to the South-bound car lane in a protected bike path before whooshing you along 17th Street. Enjoy the ride!
