National Parks of the USA
One of my favorite illustrators, Chris Turnham, has illustrated a new book by Kate Siber called National Parks of the USA. It's available for pre-order now with an expected release date of this summer.
In the meantime, check out and buy some of Chris Turnham's prints here!
Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House
After all of the wonderful excerpts coming from this book, I feel like I must read this. It got Trump so heated.
Made in North Korea: Graphics From Everyday Life in the DPRK
Made in North Korea: Graphics From Everyday Life in the DPRK is a fascinating look at North Korea's cultural identity as seen through common everyday graphics.
The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell
On a bit of a book binge lately and I'm looking forward to jumping straight into my next book. I've chosen The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell. If the title sounds familiar, it's because there's a major motion picture coming out with the same title which is very much based on this book.
The book is a tell-all tale about the making of The Room, a film that is widely considered to be the worst movie ever made.
I'm a good portion through with it already and so far it's very funny and weird.
Brene Brown - Braving The Wilderness
I surprised myself this week by finishing this book in one day. I can't remember the last time I was so fully engulfed in the topic of a book that I just blazed right through it. Maybe it was in elementary school when I was still reading Goosebumps?
Anyway, the author, Brene Brown, is the same person who wrote Daring Greatly, a book that I have not read, but one that I have heard come out of people's mouths many times. Not sure why I never took those recommendations before.
