Buzz-A-Rama: The last slot car race track in NYC
"Buzz" Frank Perri owns Buzz-A-Rama, a little-known slot car shop and race track located in Brooklyn, NY. It's an old-timey place that once stood among upwards of 40 different slot car race tracks in the city. Today, Perri's is the only one standing. It's not a glamorous looking place, but I'd like to visit and have a look anyway.
Ultra-rare Dodge Caravan NYC yellow taxi cab
Going back to my taxi enthusiast roots right now! Look what I spotted the other day. One of the few (quite possibly the only, actually) Dodge Caravan yellow cabs in NYC. Normally these handicap accessible yellow cabs are of the Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey make and model, but here is a rare look at a Dodge Caravan version!
Went on a drive
I went on a drive the other day. Just to get out of the city for a bit. It was nice. Going up a few mountains, overlooking upstate NY. Seeing an identical Ford Focus in my rearview (hello auto bud!).
There's really no point to this post.
Look at this new NYPD car
I first saw a glimpse of this vehicle during the Chelsea bombing (below), but the other day I came across it again on my daily walk. I wonder how many of these there are. Doesn't seem like they are phasing this one in -- more like a one-off of sorts.
If you're wondering, it's an NYPD Chevrolet Traverse.
1-hour long video of Dekotora truck parade
This video is as boring as they come, but if you wanted even more Dekotora videos, this one will surely whet your appetite!
In case you missed it, here was my previous post about this amazing Japanese decorated truck subculture.
