How streets, boulevards, avenues, and more road types are different from each other
My head asplode from this explanation.
The Dutch Reach might help drivers avoid dooring cyclists
I remember learning about this a few years back and since then I've made it a habit to always exit cars doing this method. I just didn't know it had a name (although I knew it was from the Netherlands). It's called the "Dutch Reach" apparently and it involves opening car doors with your opposite arm, forcing your body to make a slight turn and in effect making you also look out for any cyclists coming your way (either via your blindspot or your mirror). It's effective and I wish it was taught more in NYC.
The Grand Tour Episode 2 trailer
If my first post doesn't want to make you watch this Amazon Originals series, maybe this trailer for episode 2 of the TV show might. Looks like an action movie!
How a 1982 C3 Corvette ended up in Iceland
Wow, I think I agree. This 1982 Corvette C3 is beautiful. I never noticed this detail (or lack thereof) of the car not really having any emblems or branding on it. I think more cars should go that route and let the car shape itself dictate what it is. A sort of if you-know-then-you-know game.
The Grand Tour
I don't watch a whole lot of car shows, but since The Grand Tour is part of Amazon Prime's Instant Video streaming service, I thought I'd give it a go. Conclusion? This is a great car show!
There's only been one episode of the series so far, but if you want to get a sense of how amazing this is...just watch the intro for the first episode. Seriously. It is incredible what they've planned and executed in that intro alone. I wish the intro was embeddable in some way. But it's not, so for now, here's the series trailer.
