Transcend RDF9 multi-card reader for UHS-II cards
NERD ALERT: Transcend has updated their multi-card reader to support the blazing fast speeds of UHS-II SD cards. While most capture devices don't use UHS-II just yet, the boost in speed will certainly come in handy when transferring files to the computer via this card reader.

The Cinematography of La La Land

Fly12 400 lumen bike light with integrated 1080p camera
This seems like a better option than mounting a GoPro to your bike. This is the Fly12 bicycle light with 1080p HD camera. Think of it as a dashcam for your bike (a handble-bar cam?). It records to microSD...for up to 10 hours?! How is this possible? I need more info on this.
PS: If you want a rear dashcam version of this, the same company makes the Fly6 rear light and camera.
The ecological and societal effects of tourism in Iceland
I guess this WIRED headline hits it right on the head for me. I haven't gone to Iceland only because I feel like it's too hot of a destination. I would love to go, but I don't want everywhere I go in Iceland to be swamped by tourists. Maybe I'll give it a few years. For now, I'll just enjoy photographer Denis Meyer's in the article here.
