Here’s a really cool video of the very uncool demolition of the former Vanderbilt Mansion at W 57th St and 5th Avenue. Today’s Bergdorf Goodman stands in the footprint of this massive home. To this day, it is still the largest private house ever built in NYC.

This is interesting. A new game for iOS called Scrappers is all about waste management and clean-up in a dystopian future.
Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI
I watched the video above and instantly knew I had to try Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI software. The app, available for PC and Mac, allows the enlargement of small images to larger sizes without much deterioration. There have been apps like this before — like Genuine Fractals (now ON1 Resize I think) and Blow Up — but none has ever really produced good looking results (at least not for print). Topaz Labs’ app changes that for me.
