I missed this product launch from OWC it seems. There now exists a relatively easy tape-storage backup solution for pro media users who need a long term storage in a petite size (without breaking the bank). The OWC Mercury Pro LTO uses 12TB tape and is as simple as using any other external drive expansion for computers. The system starts at $4499. Might invest in this for myself in the future.

This is really interesting because it’s not just a standard Universal Basic Income program (ie: give money out), it has criteria for spending in LOCAL economies. The fact that it’s on a card where maybe it can be electronically redeemed or denied makes this process much easier.
