A comprehensive look at the evolving Google identity
I didn't know that Google had an entire subdomain dedicated to design. With their outstanding work spearheading and encouraging what they call 'Material Design', Google has not only made technology their focus but usability and good interface design a priority as well.
This particular article here describes the painstaking detail that Google designers went through to design the latest Google logo. The logo had to work across many platforms and spaces -- both digital and real-world -- and be instantly recognizable and related to logos in the past, while at the same time introducing something new to the world.
The post is a very interesting read for any designer so I highly recommend checking it out. The videos on the post are also lovely as well (for some odd reason, they aren't uploaded to YouTube, so I did that for you for ease of viewing).
