The typography of 'Stranger Things'
Sarah Gless gives some insight into the amazing typography of Stranger Things. The logo is a modified version of a typeface called Benguiat released by ITC in the '70s and evokes a sense of mystery and fear that is perfectly in line with the plot of the series.
More importantly, the Stranger Things logo sets the tone immediately because it reminds viewers of the freaky book covers that graced so many Stephen King novels from that time (Gless mentions that actual books were sent to Imaginary Forces for inspiration).
