Happy birthday Donald Trump!
The Washington Post: Special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating Donald Trump for possible obstruction of justice, officials say
The Washington Post releases audio of Trump making lewd comments towards women in 2005
Man, the Trump campaign's disaster of a week just keeps getting worse. The Washington Post got their hands on an audio of Donald Trump saying some extremely terrible things about women to then-Access Hollywood-host Billy Bush. The audio was recorded as Trump was making his way to the set of "Days of Our Lives" to tape a cameo.
The Trump-Pence campaign released a short statement saying:
“This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course - not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”
Man, is this man seriously living in his own reality distortion bubble or what?! I apologize if anyone was offended???? That's not an apology.
Billy Bush ain't a saint here either.
The Washington Post's article in 1974 about Christine Chubbuck's suicide
Earlier today I posted a short piece about the live on-air suicide of newscaster Christine Chubbuck in 1974. At the time, it was reported that only a few hundred people may have seen Chubbuck commit suicide live on television. Even fewer, if any except for the TV station, may have been recording the segment which has led to this video being called one of the "Holy Grails" of missing videos in modern history.
One reporter named Sally Quinn wrote about the on-air suicide in The Washington Post a few days after it occurred. It's a long read (I made it a little easier to follow in the image above -- just click it to make it bigger or download it) but it goes quite in depth into the person Christine was and interviews the people in her closest circle about why she might have done what she did.
