Watchchamacallit commercial from 1987
My sister asked me why I sing a convoluted version of this jingle every time I hear the word "whatchamacallit". I don't really know why. I don't even sing it correctly. It's just this weird thing I do.
How nectar drop candy is made with a machine from the 1800s
This machine from the late 1800s is called a fruit drop roller and what it does is it takes a glob of still-hot candy and runs it through a brass mold. After the candy cools, the shaped molds are then "dropped" causing the candy to break into little droplet-sized pieces formed by the brass mold. This is an early version of how cough drops and other similar candies are made.

How Dragon Beard Candy is made
This creation is known as Dragon Beard Candy. It is a blob of semi-hardened honey stretched and doubled until it becomes tiny hair-like strands of silk. If you've never had one, they are quite good. I've never seen them being made before so watching this video was neat. The candy makers' routine reminds me a lot of NYC street performers/dancers with their synchronized words and showmanship.
